About Haines

Haines Ely, M.D. is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology. He is in private practice and is also clinical professor of dermatology at University of California-Davis. He does lots of skin cancer and cosmetic surgery.

He has assisted Joao de Deus on a number of occasions and has observed many surgeries from a distance of only inches. He can attest from first hand experience that Joao's surgeries are real, and are rarely felt by the subject. The medical meaning of the incisions or eye surgery is rarely obvious to the medically trained eye. Haines has witnessed truly miraculous healings which cannot be explained by modern medicine.
